A two-person product studio

We build small software with big opinions.

Slipway Labs is Laurin and Anne Albert. We don't do client work, we don't do decks, and we don't have a growth team. We design, build, ship and answer the support email for two products of our own — and that short loop is the entire point.

In the water

Two products, both ours, both paying their own way.

No portfolio of things we made for someone else. These are the two we run, support and live off — which is why we care what happens after launch day.

WhisperTranscribe

Turn what you said into everything you have to publish.

Podcasters, YouTubers and teams drop in audio and get back a clean transcript plus the show notes, chapters, subtitles, newsletter and social posts they'd otherwise spend an evening writing. Your files stay on your device; only the audio is processed, and we don't keep it.

  • Transcription and translation across 55 languages
  • One recording in, a week of content out
  • On-premise deployment for larger teams

LottaLou

A diary for the moments you'd never sit down to write.

Say it out loud in twenty seconds and it becomes a written entry, kept in a journal you can share with the people who were there. Built for parents first — the small things your kid said today, before you forget them by Thursday.

  • Speak a moment, keep it forever
  • Shared journals for both parents and grandparents
  • Works offline; syncs when you're back

The studio

Small on purpose.

A slipway is the ramp a boat slides down on its way into the water — the last bit of solid ground before something has to float on its own. That's the job: get a thing built, get it in the water, then find out whether it swims. Two of us is enough to decide something on Monday and have it live by Friday, and small enough that neither of us can hide behind a process.

Product & Go-to-market

Decides what we build and why anyone should hear about it. Lives in the pricing page, the ad account and the support inbox — usually all three before lunch.

Anne Albert van der Galiën, arms folded, standing against a concrete wall.

Engineering

Builds and runs the thing. Owns the architecture, the database and the pager — which is why the architecture stays the kind you can still reason about at 2am.
